Great Lakes of Bruery Beer are Coming

In just one week, we'll be launching The Bruery in the state of Michigan!!

Jonas and Cambria will be in Detroit next week to kick off our most recent addition to our list of US states where our beer is distributed, and we want you Michiganders (or Michiganians) to be a part of this launch. We're having an Instagram contest with $100 of Bruery swag for the winning photo. Here's how to enter the contest.

Starting on 8/26, post an Instagram photo with our beer (can be draft or bottle) and as many things from below as possible fitting into the frame. You must photo tag @thebruery in the photo and use the hashtag #ImportedfromCA to have a valid entry in the contest.


Earn points based on what's in your photo. The most points wins the contest. Here are the point counts:

Earn 1 point for including each of these items in your photo:

• a person
• a dog
• a cake
• photo is tagged at a Michigan landmark
• photo is tagged at a local brewery

Earn 2 points for including each of these items in your photo:

• a fish
• an oak barrel
• a Bruery staff member
• Bruery glassware
• a photo of Patrick Rue in your photo
• a set of Russian nesting dolls

Earn 5 big, fabulous points for including a well-recognized* Michigan native celebrity in your photo. Examples include: Eminem, Insane Clown Posse, Kid Rock, Bob Seger, Jack White, Xzibit, Any members of The Supremes, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, Max Scherzer, Justin Verlander, Any sports team member from the Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings.

*The Bruery's judgement determines who is "well-recognized."
