Tyler just sent me this picture of the BrewCommune / The Bruery booth at the Southern California Homebrew Festival in Lake Casitas, happening right now. I was supposed to go, but instead I'm sitting on my couch, working on The Bruery budget for future years. I'm trying not to pity myself, but not doing a very good job at it.
The banner looks pretty sharp though. Thanks to Tyler for representing us at the festival.

You missed a great show. It was my first fest, but I'm sure it won't be my last!
I went to the booth during the festival and asked for you. They said you stayed home with your wife. Oh well, next time.
just found your blog and I've speed read through every post. I too am a home-brewer who wants to open my own place but my main question is: how did you secure funding? self funded? relatives? bank loans? etc...
Enjoyed your beers at fest; I'm glad you were represented even though you couldn't be there! Bought two of your killer t-shirts.
Where were they selling Bruery t-shirts at the fest?
Tyler, I tried to tell you those were give-a-way shirts...
